InDesign 2024 Essential Training (for editors new to InDesign)
The CTS team has identified this course which should be useful to new editors who have no previous knowledge of InDesign. (You will need to ensure you are logged into your Peoplenet account for the following link to work).
You can of course watch all the modules contained in this course but the following are the ones we recommend for editors. Also bear in mind that editors will not be asked to perform all these tasks, a lot of which will be done by designers. The total running time of the following module videos is approx. 3 hours.
Introduction – approx. 3m
1. Learning InDesign in 30 Minutes – approx. 30m
2. Creating a Document – approx 40m
3. Managing Pages – approx. 30m
4. Text – approx. 35m
9. Text Formatting – approx. 40m
10. Styles – approx. 15m
Once you have gone through this training, we recommend that you watch the Understanding Style Sheets etc. training/refresher video available here.
This video will take you through the way we work at DK, the dos and don’ts on working with our files, how style sheets should be assigned and other tips.
Should you have any questions about InDesign, please contact Sonia Charbonnier at sonia.charbonnier@uk.dk.com or Tom Morse at tom.morse@uk.dk.com
