InDesign Preflight is running (in the background)

InDesign has a built in Preflight feature for checking files. It a little like Source Report, only simpler and not specifically tailored to our needs here at DK. The Preflight can run in the background but it can have a significant impact on performance. This is because it will check through your document and re-check anytime it detects a change. So it will be running constant checks as you are working on your file.

If you are experiencing slow performance speeds it would be worth checking that the Preflight is not enabled. After all you will be checking the technical set-up of your files using Source Report at specific intervals.
